Last Week Tonight with John Oliver does a good job of explaining issues and using comedy to drive the points home.  This video explains what Native Advertising is, why it’s concerning and also why it exists. has a policy against Native Advertising because I believe that it would damage our reputation, but I understand why many content creators succumb to doing it.

    Thanks for posting this.. I have heard the term “native advertising” for some time but did not have a clue as to what it referred to. Now that I know what it is, I realize that this is the very thing that I have come to hate on a lot of websites that I no longer will visit.
