One of my client PC which still running Windows XP had to be reinstalled after the HDD was broken.

I re-installed Windows XP for this customer and to my surprise I was able to download all the updates for XP. (134 in total)

Therefore I ask myself the question, why Microsoft has announced that there are no more updates available for XP from April 15, 2014.

I’m certainly not a fan of further installing XP but for this customer it was actually just because he must be able to run written software offline.

I agree that Microsoft doesn’t know what they want, but I think their announcement of no updates for XP after April 15th, meant there would be no further updates for security or enhancements. All old updates should stay available from my understanding
