Google Self Driving Car Problems

Old 4 Comments on Google Self Driving Car Problems 24

The Google Self Driving Car seems like a really cool and sexy idea and it seems like it is defiantly going to be the future.  Frankly, I do see this being a good thing but there are some problems and I’ve been reading loads of pertinent information on thecarstarter.com.

1.who is going to manufacture these cars

2.what about roads that have not been updated by Google maps, like for instance a bridge that is in the middle of nowhere that has been taken down, if Google doesn’t do an update for the roads constantly, then we will have cars driving off bridged and into buildings

3.it is one of those smart cars so what happens when a guy in one of those big “dumb” cars crashes into them

Security in the IoT & IoE is highly sought after, as there are many ideas being thrown around but the updated firmware in these devices is problematic in cases.

    Tesla.

As far as the updates, they make them OTA. And so far, I don’t believe anyone has been able to hack one.

    To add to the list:

    4. What if the car gets hacked by someone with malicious intent?

    5. What if it loses connectivity with its GPS?

    6. What if it just plainly “tweaks-out” due to software/hardware issues?

I think it will work like auto pilot in planes, it wont replace drivers
