Paypal Credit Card Readers

Old 2 Comments on Paypal Credit Card Readers 96

PayPal have come out with credit card readers that can take payments from a credit card or eftpos card straight through the PayPal iPone App.
This is a really good idea as it can mean people can accept payments via EFT anywhere they are. This is really an amazing thing when you think of how far technology has come over the years.
When years ago you needed to go to the bank and get cash now more and more you do not need to carry cash at all.
You now have instant access to your money from a card and there are more and more places that accept them now.

What do you think of these?

A chipped pinpad!!!! Now we’re talking. I love my Square. I loathed signing my contract years ago for my merchant account / POS machine, and was so happy when Square finally entered the Canadian market. Obviously, not being able to accept PIN entries limits us for debit card use (our debit is different than your American debit, we have a system called Interac). When this hits the Canadian market, I’ll be the first to scoop it up 🙂

Seems like a cool idea. I can’t believe how quickly the world of credit card transaction have changed. Just a few years ago you had to pay massive setup fees, sign year long contracts and deal with the terminals the size of bricks.
