Is Internet access always going to be controlled and charged for access by ISP’s. Well, not for long I guess.

You might have heard about Outernet. It’s a global data broadcast startup in New York. What they aim is to making information globally accessible. Wireless access for free globally.

It’s gonna be broadcasting Ebooks, video streaming  and sites like Wikipedia and other social networking websites. It’s live and has a bunch of wiki pages right now.

But Wait, it’s a data broadcast and will be wireless. how’s that? well, you will need a receiver to receive the data, plug it in to a Raspberry Pi and then route it wirelessly using a wifi dongle.
