A quick and easy way to save battery life in one single step! (Especially if you are traveling.)

Have you been looking for an easy way to save battery life on all your mobile devices?

Between our Smart Phones, Tablets, ebooks, hybrid laptop convertibles, we have so many things to keep charged. One way I have been able to drastically save battery life is by simply turning on “Air Plane mode.’

Your mobile device has numerous radios that are consistently working to find a signal. Air Plane mode will disable all these radios and just allow you to access the existing content saved on the device.

WARNING! Do not do this if you are expecting an important phone call or email.

Just for fun, I used my old cell phone moderately while on Air plane mode and I was able to get a few days on a single charge!  Also, when you are traveling Air Plane mode can drastically improve your battery life. This is because when your signal strength is weak, your phone has to work harder to boost any existing signal you have.  Lastly, if your phone is going to be in your pocket for long periods of time, switch it to airplane mode and reduce the amount of wireless radiation you are exposing yourself to.

If this helped you please share!
Have a blessed day.

Can attest to this method. I used this feature as its name says. I was visiting India from the U.S. If you know anything about this ride, it is LONG! As in it was around 24 hours with all the places we had to land in. I had some Daily Blobs and WAN show stacked up for this and this mode gave me a long battery life and i was a happy boy. 🙂

Thanks for the advice on the pocket trick. I have been concerned about radiation from carrying my phone in my pocket while at work, so I decided to leave it in a locker. I’ll be using airplane mode instead.
