I Need $$$ Now: Web Design with Code Academy

Old No Comments on I Need $$$ Now: Web Design with Code Academy 26

With the American economy dwindling down the tubes and inflation of the U.S. dollar rising, is it any surprise that many are scuttling towards becoming a small business owner in the tech field?

Sure it sounds logical to go to school for a computer science or management information systems degree but how is that four year degree going to pay the bills now? Especially if one is reliant towards receiving federal grants or loans?

If only I knew how to build Websites, then maybe I might start my own Web designing business online.

WARNING…Starting and operating a small business is not for the weak minded as there will be times when the profit margin may not seem worth the time investment.

Then again once you establish a noteworthy portfolio of whom your clientele relies upon your business for services, the payout can be extremely good. Good enough to quit your day job if that is in your desire to do so.

So what are you exactly saying? Go to school? Don’t go to school? Start my own Web Design business? Don’t start my own Web Design business?

To each its own, right? What’s good for the goose may not be necessarily be good for the gander. After owning and operating my own Web Design business since January 2013, I can say this. The only time “success” comes before “work” is in the dictionary. Work hard now so that later on down the line business endeavors will present themselves to you.

While hard work is pivotal in making lucrative money in this business, so is having a knowledge base of Web coding.

My advice for the beginners out there is to learn your craft in Web coding. Let me introduce Code Academy (www.codecademy.com) a Website that will sharpen your skills in HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, Python, Ruby, PHP, and APIs to say the least.

I really appreciate the programmers responsible for designing and building this site as it has a lot to offer. A user can create an account and keep track of their progress while having fun earning achievement points while doing so. The graphical interface is well designed too as it gives users functionality controls over the code that they write. The users on this site can test the code and save their progress so that they may pick back up where they left off (granted that a user account is created).

I have no formal ties to Code Academy but I plan to use them in my business model for new interns that will work for my company www.pcpro4less.com.
