Old 3 Comments on LOG ME IN – GET’S SMART 26

Why does LOGMEIN.com have to go ruin the fun by taking away our Free PC’s to remote into…..

I had to find this out the hard way – I was working on a client’s pc and needed to remote into my pc to grab a file to fix my client’s pc,

I logged into my logmein.com to remote into my pc and a GIANT POP-UP right in front of my eye’s says no more Free Subscriptions – $50 a year for two PC’s…

Kudo’s for logmein.com because this is going to be a GIANT Money Maker for them, but it’s just more money out our IT wallets which sucks….

Lucky enough I found another solution called Be Anywhere Express (http://beanywhere.com), it seems to be working like a charm – Eli has a great YouTube video on this product….

So, I want to hear any comments or thoughts you guys have on the whole logmein.com going from free to paid subscriptions only????

I loved logmein as a product, I’ve had logmein central(the subscription based product that let’s you manage multiple free accounts) for a long time. With central I was able to maintain my fee computers which was great! I was however very turned off by how they handled the pricing structure change. It makes me want to shop for an additional product in the future.

I use beanywhere on my daily job as a remote support team leader and it’s really a good tool. it has a nice admin area to manage reports, technicians and a bunch of other stuff.
